Professional Women's Fellowship (PWF) connects, supports and challenges women to live and grow with Jesus Christ daily.
History
In the winter of 1983, a few women from Seattle began talking about the distinctive needs of Christian women who work outside the home. At that time, most churches offered women's ministry programs during work hours, making it difficult or impossible for working women to participate. Also, women in the workplace seemed to have particular issues they wanted to discuss or topics about which they wanted to learn.
After prayerfully considering these needs, the women decided to host a breakfast meeting and invite working women in the community . . . and they hoped 10 to 12 women would respond. The meeting took place in March of 1984, and to the delight of all, more than 50 women attended. Thus the birth of Professional Women's Fellowship and its ministry to women in the greater Seattle area ever since.
